This recipe is just a delicious combination of almond paste, saffron and cardamom in milk. Similar to a smoothie, this is the way to turn humble milk into something very nutritious and delicious. Key Ingredients In Badam Milk

- Almonds - The key ingredient that gives the drink the strong almond flavor.
- Milk - Regular cow’s milk is the way to go for the classic version. But, oat and soy are also great options.
- Cardamom - The quintessential spice in many Indian desserts.
- Sugar - Regular white sugar or any sweetener.
How To Make Badam Milk
Make almond paste - Simply soak almonds in hot water for about 15 minutes and then puree into smooth paste with a couple of tablespoons of milk. Make sure the puree is smooth.

A lmond milk - First, infuse milkvwith cardamom and saffron. Then add in almond paste, and boil for about 10 minutes. That way, milk gets the amazing flavor of almonds. To sweeten the drink, add sugar or natural sweetener.

Ingredients
Almond paste:
- ▢ 15-20 almonds or badam
- ▢ ½ cup hot water
- ▢ 2 tablespoons milk
Almond milk:
- ▢ 2 cups milk
- ▢ 2 teaspoons sugar
- ▢ ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
- ▢ 2-3 saffron strands
Garnish (optional):
- ▢ Chopped almonds or pistachios
- ▢ Saffron strands
Instructions
- Place almonds in a bowl.
- Cover with hot water.
- Soak for 15 minutes.
- Peel off the skin.
- Place peeled almonds in a food processor.
- Add 2 tablespoons milk and process to a smooth paste.
- Meanwhile, place 2 cups milk in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add sugar, and stir to dissolve sugar.
- Once milk is hot, add ground cardamom, saffron and almond paste. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil. Simmer for about 10 minutes over low heat.
- Transfer to serving cups. Serve immediately hot or cold.
- Garnish with chopped almonds or pistachios and saffron.
